Since the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti, the country has received food and medical supplies. Healthcare facilities also exist but there is a shortage of medical professionals including doctors, physical therapists and health educators. To help improve healthcare in Haiti, particularly for patients with conditions that occurred as a result of the devastation, SHINE Humanity has designed a volunteer program for medical professionals and is now recruiting qualified team members. The first team is scheduled fly to Haiti in June 2011.
Interested professionals will complete an easy and fairly quick application process and undergo hands-on-training by experienced medical relief staff.
